چکیده

The electro-optical properties of polymer dispersed liquid crystal films vary with contents and applied electric field, but the analysis film morphology cannot directly reflect mechanism properties. Therefore, prepared by blending material E7 photopolymer NOA65 was applied. Herein, dielectric polarization regulated their related under different fields are revealed. results show that in frequency range 10-1~106 Hz, exhibits three relaxation processes low frequency, medium high separately, which generated thermionic polarization, interfacial orientation respectively. According to Arrhenius equation, activation energy such were calculated. It found increase content, decreased from 0.88 eV 0.83 eV, resulting decrease threshold field strength saturation diversion molecule. Thermionic DC forms an internal a large strength, as compared situations AC field. Such also leads time, extension response time. This study shows guiding significance for further improvement films.

Effect of a Polymercaptan Material on the Electro-Optical Properties of Polymer-Dispersed Liquid Crystal Films.

Polymer-dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC) films were prepared by the ultraviolet-light-induced polymerization of photopolymerizable monomers in nematic liquid crystal/chiral dopant/thiol-acrylate reaction monomer composites. The effects of the chiral dopant and crosslinking agents on the electro-optical properties of the PDLC films were systematically investigate. While added the chiral dopant S8...

Effect of polymer structures on electro-optical properties of polymer stabilized liquid crystal films

The polymer stabilized liquid crystal (PSLC) film is a relatively novel electro-optical material, which is generally obtained by dissolving a small amount of a bifunctional photoreactive monomer in a low molecular mass liquid crystal. In this paper, the PSLC films were prepared with photoreactive biphenyl methacrylate monomers by photopolymerization induced phase separation. The effects of liqu...

A Study on the Electro-Optical Properties of Thiol-Ene Polymer Dispersed Cholesteric Liquid Crystal (PDChLC) Films.

In this study, a polymer dispersed cholesteric liquid crystal (PDChLC) film obtained via a one-step fabrication technique based on photopolymerization of a thiol-acrylate reaction system was prepared and characterized for the first time. The effects of the chiral dopant, the influence of thiol monomer functionality and content on the morphology and subsequent performance of the PDChLC films wer...

Dependence of the electro-optical properties of polymer dispersed liquid crystals on the photopolymerization process

We have studied the dependence of the electro-optical properties of polymer dispersed liquid crystals ~PDLC! on the ultraviolet ~UV! cure of the solution of monomer and liquid crystal. The kinetics of UV polymerization and its effect on the morphology of the phase separated droplets of liquid crystal determine the switching voltage, response time, and luminance of the PDLC. Using a series of st...
